I love Friends!

What is it?

Friends is an American comedy drama which spanned 10 seasons. It was set around the lives of 6 friends and their relationships and fall outs. It sadly ended a few years ago after cast and directors failed to reach an agreement on terms of contract.

Who?

Friends has had many cameo appearances over the years from actors such as Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt & Juilia Roberts to name a few but the 6 main characters were the focus of the show

What happens?

Monica is a former fat, budding chef and pursues her dream career throughout the seasons. We see her have a string of failed relationships before finding the one in another friend.

Rachel is first seen in her wedding dress when she runs out of fiance Barry at the alter. She moves in with Monica and ends up falling for Monicas brother Ross. This relationship is on and off through all seasons until the final one. Rachel dreams of working in the fashion industry but will she pursue this?

Phoebe is a twin who no longer speaks to her sister. Her mum killed herself years before and Phoebe has been through alot with living on the streets. She is a massuse and loves to play guitar.

Ross is Monicas older, paleontologist brother who works with dinosaurs. His wife Carol becomes a lesbian and has his child Ben. He has been in love with Rachel since they were in school and have a on off relationship throughout the show.

Joey is a budding half italian actor who lives with Chandler, across the hall from Monica and Rachel. He is a ladies man. How you doing?

Chandler works with figures from what we know. He isnt very good with the ladies but does find his princess later on the series.

Where?

Friends is set in New York though it isnt actually filmed there. All scenes are done within the 1 building.

Anything else?

The Friends favourite hang out is Central Perk cafe where they have coffee and sit on the same sofas! You see them here alot.

How do i watch this?

E4 & Channel 4 regularly show repeats. It is also available to buy on dvd and the best place is ASDA who sell the complete 15th anniversary set for under £40

Would i recommend?

I love Friends and have watched it all several times. I am hoping to buy the boxset in the next few months but for now i will watch it on E4!
