Pat Sharp. Deejay, tv presenter and popstar. Fun House was always a treat to watch, the level of excitement on this show could only be measured by a very large yard stick!

What is it about?

Basically, it's a show for children, set inside Pat Sharp's Fun House. The house is akin to a massive obstacle course. Think big nets, poles to slide down, revolving barrels to crawl through and you're on the right track. The show has a couple of teams, comprising two children on each team. They first have to complete some challenges, before the winning team gets to go into the Fun House. It is in here that they look for prizes by collecting tokens.

Hosts:

Pat Sharp is a superb host, his long blond locks and penchant for tight denim always brightened up the show. He was a hit with kids and a lot of women would swoon over his stunning good looks. Pat was assisted by the twins Melanie and Martina, two buxom blondes with frizzy hair, who smiled a lot and looked a little dense. Mind you, the twins were always appropriately underdressed for the show, which no doubt pleased many older children and dads.

The Racing:

There is a great bit where the teams get into go karts, motor powered cars. and race around a track picking up tokens. Yes they're only going three miles an hour, but it still looked a right hoot.

The Music:

Oh! The theme music! That was a highlight in itself, a bundle of energy with such zany noises and catchy hooks.

Prizes:

I can't recall exact prizes, but they were always things that kids liked, stereos, CDs, games, etc. Sadly, no amazing cash prizes on this show!

Conclusion:

I see no reason why this show cannot come back. It could run with a new host, I am thinking Andi Peters. It's a truly fun programme.
