Advantages: It has that orange furball in it!

Disadvantages: Jokes get samey if you watch too many episodes!

yep... another lame attempt at doing the catchy theme tune that this cool show had.
This show as great because of the way it captured the very essence of comedy that the comic strips had. Everything is seen in a pretty 2d flat manner, so it does actually view like a comic strip brought to life!

THe main section of the show involves Garfield the fat cat and his dog-buddy Odie. Jon, garfield's "owner" can be pitied for his pets' behaviour... they have cost him many a date and lots of money in damages too!
The other section of the show involves a farm. It featured Orson the PIg, a duck and all the other usual farm animals...including a walking egg "Sheldon"!
I was never familiar with the farm characters - I think they were just made up for this show..
There was always a storyline for each show- no cliffhangers, or part-shows.. SO you always knew if you watched it you wouldnt have to be glued to the TV the nex time it came on - a kind of liberating freedom that you rarely get from TV now....(darn addictive programmes!!) THese stories could range from stealing some food and feeling guilty, or trying to break open shelldon's egg. No matter what, they were always hilarious, if not somewhat surreal.

the show does get repetitive after a while, but what comedy show doesnt? Any cartoon fan should check this series out if they havent already - it's simple usage of the comic strip styled humour should be an inspiration for most "funny" cartoons out there today..
Cow and Chicken? Angry Beavers? Funny? I think not. Garfield and Friends- a guaranteed blast.
