Advantages: Poke at marriage

Disadvantages: None

Poor George, the hapless husband to Mildred. No matter what he does he never ever gets it right, and on top of that Mildred would like to have you know what.

George is a very nervous individual who personifies all that was a British husband. Undemanding and happy at home. Sex was never to be mentioned and intimacy was an alien concept.

Mildred was the one who ruled the roost,as was the reality of most homes. Nothing negative meant here. Women spent their time here and kept it and all in order. She also was the one who had the sexual desires - which is a role reversal which got great laughs.

They had their neighbours who had a son who provided for their parental instincts.

This show was brilliant at showing up the stupidity of British family life. If you want to know what to avoid in marriage, as well as having a good laugh, then watch George and Mildred.

Good opinion, although you need to correct the spelling mistake in the title :-) I love G & M, great comedy programme!
