Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme Gimme is a BBC television comedy. It ran for three series between 1999 and 2001 but can still be seen on TV today as repeats. The program is named after the ABBA song Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A man after midnight) and this the theme tune to the show. The show is about a really odd couple who flat share. Gimme Gimme Gimme is a great comedy show from the late 90's which is about Tom (a struggling gay actor who is desperate to prove he is worthy of being known by all) and Linda (a ginger haired overweight woman who is sure she is an amazingly beautiful and stunning woman who all men want when she is in fact considered as a man repellant by all). Tom and Linda share a flat and a feeling that their lives should have more what with Tom's belief he is an amazing actor and Linda's belief she is gorgeous and in this fantastic comedy we get to see them, their lives, their struggles and the people around them (Jez and Suze the neighbours from the flat down stairs and Berryl the ... Gimme, Gimme,Gimme. A Great British comedy. One of the funniest British comedies in the last decade. The plot is very simple; Linda shares a flat with Tom. Linda is a great big trollop with the manners of a diuretic pig and all the subtlety of a large brick through several plate glass windows. Once described as a slapper on Viagra, she is a real man-eater. Believing herself to be utterly beautiful, she is often confused by people's attitude to her looks and loud clothes. Olive from "On the buses" after a night on the beer would best describe her. But sadly, all she wants is to be loved. Tom is ... Read the complete review

When Johnathan Harvey (the author) approached the BBC, the only thing that interested them was the fact that "Linda La Huges will be played by Kathy Bruke, and Tom by James Dreyfus". Well, one sniff of some household names and they were sold. Gimme Gimme Gimme had mileage to last for 3 series, and a BBC1 slot. You either love it or you hate it (I'm the former) and who wouldn't want to follow the every life of a bad actor and.. Linda. I suppose it was a good idea, it had its laughs but Kathy Burke really fell into the role. She took it very seriously, and really made it great. Gimme Gimme Gimme has often had bad reviews but I would rather watch it than 2 ... Read the complete review

BBC2 hadn't produced many successful and acclaimed comedy programmes in the late 1990's, but in 1999 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' was released to a decent amount of acclaim and became an instant hit with BBC2 viewers. 'Gimme gimme gimme' centres around the lives of the main characters Tom and Linda. Tom is an out-of-work gay actor who dreams of making it big and finding a boyfriend, but is pretty big-headed because he thinks he is a brilliant actor and extraordinarily talented, but in reality he is unpopular and posesses few acting skills. Meanwhile Linda is unemployed, straight and always on the lookout for a man who'll except her for her. ... Read the complete review
