Advantages: Side splitting funny, lighthearted fun

Disadvantages: not on long enough

A fantastic programme, starring the wonderful Kathy Burke and just as great James Dreyfuss. If you like Ab Fab, then you'll love this.
This series is showing on Friday nights on bbc1 at 9.30p.m

The story is based on 2 main characters. The first character being a woman who is a definite fashion disaster. Obviously some poor misguided fool told her once that she was gods gift to men. When you check out the series, you'll see that’s she's definitely not. The second character being a gay man, who's a very camp, usually out of work actor (in fact so bad, even his agent tries to avoid him) who does odd bit parts in adverts etc.

The two characters share a flat in London, and the series usually revolves around the flat. Although the pair like to pretend that they hate each other, it is obvious that there is some affection there.
The neighbours consist of the owner, who lives in the flat above them. The best way to describe her character is an older Cynthia Payne. A strange couple occupies the flat next door to them. Very upper-class lovely types.

Considering most people have moaned about this new series, saying it was much better when it was shown on bbc2. I don’t really think that they have been very fair. Burke and Dreyfuss' comic timing is fantastic and we should enjoy their brilliant performances while we can. I recently read in an article that Kathy Burke is planning on giving up acting, choosing to go behind the cameras instead.

No matter what situation, the characters find themselves in, there is guaranteed mayhem, and plenty of funny moments. It is refreshing to be able to have a show on TV that does not take life too seriously.
Brilliant is all that’s left to be said.
You'll either love it or hate it.

I had the misfortune to see this show recently. It was so cringeworthy I was embarassed. I'm no prude, it was just truly awful.
