Advantages: Burke's one liners

Disadvantages: Dreyfus' over exaggerated character

Now I used to love this comedy.. in fact used to plan my evenings around it.
There wasn't amny comedy shows that I could sit and watch and almost be intears of laughter.
Kathy Burke's character was pure genius, from one of the UK's funneist and best actresses. Her rude innuendos and plain "common as muck" comments had perfect delivery and timing.
James Dreyfus, despite becoming completely typecast in his camp roles, fed brilliantly Burke's one liners.
However.. is it me, or is the new series a complete load of rubbish??
Dreyfus has seemed to have completely taken over. His outrageous camp behaviour just doesn't seem funny anymore.
I still manage to raise a smile with some of Burke's lines, but all in all the show seems to have totally lost it.
I watched show 1 and 2 hoping that with it being a new series it would take time to settle. How wrong, it seems to be geting worse with each episode.
The characters have become far too exaggerated, and it has got to the point where I go trawling through the channels to find something else...
Such a shame, but it seems they have done it to death. Time for Kathy Burke to move onto a new project.. without Dreyfus methinks.
