GMTV is the ITV morning show that is on 6.00am to 9.25am Monday to Friday. It stands for Good Morning Television and has been on our screens for over fifteen years.

It features two presenters on the sofa and this currently varies between Kate Garraway, Ben Shepheard, Andrew Castle and Emma Crosby. It has changed presenters over the years with Fiona Phillips and Eammon Holmes probably being the most famous.

The first hour of the show is mainly news focused and usually has politicians as guests in this part of the show. During the rest of the show there is still lots of guests on but these can be anything from actors, actresses, musicians and 'normal' people with real life stories to tell.

There is a regular news bulletin every half hour and this is usually read by Penny Smith. You also get the news from your area once an hour, Calender News where I live.

The weather is also a regular feature and every half an hour before the news bulletin Claire Nasir or Kirsty McCabe read the weather. This is usually the weather for that day in detail and a look at what the weather will be for the rest of the week.

There is also an American correspondent, this is Carla Romano and most days they talk to her over in L.A. It is mainly celebrity gossip but if there are big stories like the wildfires they have been having recently then she also reports on them.

At 8.35am the two main presenters are finished and they had over the reigns to Lorraine Kelly, she has been on this show for years and her show his often more light hearted with a big focus on fashion and beauty.

I do like watching GMTV and it is always on in our house as we are all getting ready to go out for the day. I don't think I could sit and watch it from beginning to end though as it can get quite repetitive. The news is the same, the weather is the same and sometimes even the guests are on twice. If the guests are on really early in the program then they are often on again.

It is a great show to catch the latest news and weather, and a bit of the latest gossip. The presenters are all really good and have a rapport with one another, it is entertaining to watch. I also forgot Martin Lewis is a regular on the show and I think he's great!
