Going Straight is a comedy that I've only just come across, although I may have caught a glimpse of it a few years back on a UK Gold like channel - I probably wasn't aware of what it was, mistaking it for an episode of Porridge where Fletch was for some reason on the outside! Although Going Straight may have been panned, I've thoroughly enjoyed catching up on six episodes of the show. "Going Straight" was a sitcom from the BBC that only ran for one series from February to April 1978. It was a spin off from the highly successful sitcom "Porridge" starring the master of comedy Ronnie Barker as Norman Stanley Fletcher, (Fletch) the old lag from Slade Prison, and his young cellmate Lenny Godber (Richard Beckinsale) as his old cell mate.
