I just love this programme. I came across it one night by accident when I was channel-hopping. In this very politically correct nation of ours, it is wonderful to see an ethnic culture which is as happy to take the mickey out if itself are we are loath to do to ourselves. After the boring outdated Englishman, Irishman, Scotsman jokes ... Read the complete review

I always watch Goodness Gracious Me whenever it's on, and basically it takes the mickey out of Asian culture. As I live in a town with quite a large Asian community I find it all quite familiar. This show is very funny and some of the sketches are hilarious. For example, one of my favourites is when they go for an "English", as ... Read the complete review

Summary If you’ve seen East is East, you’ll love this. This is an Asian Comedy and goodness, gracious me, it is sooooooo funny. I love the way they turn the tables on the side of British culture that most of us choose not to be party to, e.g. of “always finishing a night on the ale with an English”. The ... I really dont see how people think this is a good comedy show. I mean, theres only about two jokes in the whole thing. I swear I have only seen the show a few times, mostly in the background whilst doing something else, but they ALWAYS seem to use the "Going out for an English" sketch or the "..... innit?" at the end of every ... I just love Goodness gracious me, this would be blasted as racist if whites were the main characters. But asians making fun of themselves as well as white folks is a new slant on comedy. We can all recognise the overbearing mothers asian or white as well as I can get it cheaper uncle. The weekly song reminds me of spitting image in its ... Read the complete review

I don't get to catch this program as often as I like but when I do it is well worth it. I think some people just don't get it but its not racist it's just a very funny observation of Asian life in Britain. All the actor are of Asian origin and they take the pee out of themselves in such a way that you will crease up laughing. ... Read the complete review

This program really isn't funny. It tries to to be so whity and humourous and in my opinon just falls flat on its face! The jokes really arn't funny and I am surprised that the BBc has stooped to lows of producing this bad a comedy! Although a lot of people do like this sort of humour! If you havn't seen it before watch it once. This ... Read the complete review

this is possibly one of the best comedies that i have ever seen. it is played by 4 asian actors, it is quite frankly racist but still it is very funny, if the comedians were white and not asian then this programme would never have been allowed to have been shown even though it was written in good spirit. i would definitely recommend this programme ...
