Advantages: Great scenery(real NY) and amazing storylines

Disadvantages: Chuck and Blair are not married yet :(

Gossip girl is a show adapted from books by Cecily Von Ziegesar about teenagers (and their parents) living in New York City, more specifically the Upper East Side. Gossip Girl is the mysterious narrator who knows everything although nobody knows who she is. Although at first appearance it seems to be a superficial show about bratty teenagers with too much money and power, the more you watch the more addicted you get until you find yourself counting down the hours to see what Serena's wearing or what evil scheme Chuck is up to. Possibly one of the shortest summarys ever- Serena and Blair are best friends, as are Chuck and Nate. Nate and Blair are a couple. Nate sleeps with Serena, making Serena run away to boarding school. When she returns Nate has no choice but to tell Blair what happened, Blair decides to make Serenas life hell until they make up later. Then Nate and Blair break up which leads to Blair sleeping with Chuck. Also floating around are Dan and Jenny who attend the same prestigious school as the previously mentioned but are "poor" because they live in a huge loft in Brooklyn. Dan and Serena are together but Dans dad and Serenas mum used to be together also. Confused enough yet?
I have to confess- I am a Chuck and Blair shipper and will be until the day I die. But the less said about that, the better. I'm going to try and cut this short because I am rambling but basically, Gossip Girl is addictive. In a good way. It's perfectly healthy to be obsessed with characters that aren't real right? The thing I love most about Gossip Girl is that it's refreshingly feel good tv. All the actors are attractive and, with the exception of Barts death, the worst thing to happen to anyone is a cut off trust fund.Its not about death or destruction or depression, It's a chance to escape real life for an hour. There are a million more things to say about the show but I feel like I've confused everyone enough.
