What a masterpiece (Grand Designs)

If you have the slightest bit of interest in home building, design, or interiors, then this programme is a must for you.

Grand design, Channel 4,
Tuesdays 21:00-22:00.
Currently in the middle of it's second series it is a must to watch.

I have been watching it over the last four weeks, and will never miss an episode, it may inspire you to design and build your own home.

Over the last few weeks the crew have followed three coulpes.

Couple 1 - were based in the Surrey. They were building a Georgian house from scratch, they even had the architect walk out on them in the middle of the project, thus the house was never completed.

Couple 2 - They were based in Sussex, they built an American wooden kit house from scratch, this was completed and cost much less than the brick houses here.

Couple 3 - they convereted an old woolen mill in Yorksire into a very modern house will all mod cons you could think of.

and finally

Couple 4 - They had purchased an old run down isolated cottage in the Brecon Beacons, the cottage only had two walls remaining, no roof, no windows, nothing but two walls, it was also up on the side of a small mountain, the only way you could get to it was up a dirt track. This project was completed, but was hampered with Foot and Mouth.
