Advantages: Best programme on tv at the moment.

As you can guess from my Dooyoo name, this is my favourite tv show.
For those of you that hate watching hospital dramas, don't be put off watching Grey's Anatomy. Yes, it is set in a fictional hospital, Seattle Grace, but the reason it's so addictive is the main characters and the chemistry between them. As well as dramatic it has very comical moments and isn't serious and boring like most hospital dramas.
The program starts off being centred around first year intern Meredith Grey. She has a lot to live up to as her mother was a renowned top surgeon who was very close to her new chief of surgery. She is handling a lot of baggage and tells everyone her mother is off travelling, although her real whereabouts are much closer to home and a secret that Meredith has to keep.
She becomes very close to fellow intern Cristina, who is very competitive and will do anything to impress and become top of her class.
Also in their group is the loyal George (who has a not so secret crush on Meredith), his best friend Izzie who always wears her heart on her sleeve and the mean one of the group, Alex.
They are kept in line by their resident, Dr Bailey, who is nicknamed 'the Nazi'.
Other main characters include smooth talking attending neurosurgeon, Dr Derek 'McDreamy' Sheppard and Dr Burke, a top heart surgeon. Things become messy for these two when they each become involved with an intern, especially as Derek is hiding a secret...
This programme has won a string of awards and is now about to air it's sixth series. It always has me glued to the tv set. Some of the scenes are very intense. The finale at the end of the last series had me screaming 'NO' at the tv set for about a week! I've got all my friends addicted to it too!
Summary: If you've never watched this programme you don't know what you're missing!
