This was much in the line of other documentaries on army life - if you like one you will probably like them all. It shows the similarities and differences between army life for males and females amd thats about it. Again Sandhurst is an interesting subject but it has been covered before. The characters were quite interesting and if (as I suspect) there is a followup to see how they get on as officers I will probably watch it.
A brilliant new series started on BBC1 on June 29, called Guns and Roses. It offers an insight into the training of women officers for the army at Sandhurst. It was really interesting as it showed just how tough it is to make it as an officer, both physically and mentally. It follows a number of recruits just starting on the path to making it as an officer and the things they have to do to make the grade. It is similar to a series called Soldiers To Be that was on last year, but the training is much tougher. I would recommend it to anyone, except those thinking of a career as an officer, as it will probably put you off.
