I'll be the first to admit that I do not watch this programme on a regualar basis, but whenever I do I really enjoy it. I love watching comedy and enjoy stand up comedy (Jack Dee is one of my faves at the moment but that's another story) and that's what first drew me to this show. I knew of Harry Hill from his stand up which is very, very surreal so I knew what I was in for.
The premise of the show is that he reviews the previous weeks TV, so he mainly features the soaps and reality TV but I have seen sports events and dramas. I don't know how he spots some of the things he does as when I'm watching him I'm sat there going 'I watched this, but I didn't see that!' His mind is certainly not on any level that I understand!
He points out any mistakes or 'odd' moments, quite often things that were certainly unintentional. Sometimes if it is something about an extra from a programme he then introduces them as a guest.
Although it is primarily about TV it is more a vehicle for his surreal brand of humour, which quite often involves bizarre tales of badgers, but as it is done in the style of a chatshow where he talks to the audience it is very 'people friendly'.
One of my fave episodes was when he featured the character of Tony from Coronation Street and his eyes. Well up until then I had never noticed it myself and from then on when ever he is on screen all I do is stare at his eyes.
This programme at times is silly and I recommend it for when you what to watch something just to cheer you up and make you giggle like a little school kid, lots of fun.
