Advantages: It's great TV. It's so different to anything else I've seen.

Disadvantages: Season 2 is only 11 episodes!

Firstly, if you have just come here to read a review on Heroes after seeing that the third season has started on BBC2, you really need to watch it from the beginning.

I'm a massive fan of Heroes, and I am quite forgiving when it comes to plot holes, so I loved season 2 as much as season 1, unlike the majority who seemed to think season 2 was quite a let down in terms of the story line.

I read online that the story arc had to be cut short due to the writers strike, which is a shame, because I felt season 2 had something great going on and then nothing really came of it.

Anyway, what is Heroes about? It's an american TV drama in which we follow the lives of seemingly normal people - who actually learn they have superhuman powers.

I really don't want to give anything away, but here's a brief summary of some of the main characters. Actually I'm such a fan of knowing as little as possible about TV programs I watch before I see them, so if you're like that I wouldn't read any further :)

Peter Petrelli
========
Peter is my personal favourite, he can copy the powers of others. So as you can imagine, he could become quite powerful.

Claire Bennet
=========
Claire is a school girl who can heal herself automatically.

Nathan Petrelli
=========
Nathan is Peters brother and he can fly.

Matt Parkman
=========
Matt can hear other peoples thoughts.

Nikki Sanders
=========
Nikki has an alter-ego 'Jessica' who is violent and quite happily kills people.

Hiro
===
Hiro is very funny and he can bend time and space (ie freeze time, or go back in time, or into the future). He has a friend who is a bit like a sidekick called Ando. Ando doesn't have any powers.

Mohinder Suresh
===========
Mohinder becomes involved with other Heroes because of his fathers genetic research.

HRG - Horned Rimmed Glasses man
===
We don't learn his name for a long time, I don't dare give anything away, but he does not have any powers.

Isaac
====
Isaac is an artist on heroin and he can paint the future when he's high.

Sylar
====
Sylar is the villian of season one.

Summary: Very fast paced drama. Everyone will find a 'hero' they can relate to.

I must be the only person that hasn't watch a single minute of this program, but I hear rave reviews about it all the time so I might have to see for myself. Good op :o)
