Holby City is a drama which is about the staff and patients of Holby. The drama seems to have many Doctors more so then Nurses at times and I find that instantly strange. The drama never shows you how people end up in Holby it shows you then arriving whether from the paramedics or just randomly showing up in a ward. You get to see some ... Read the complete review

Holby City is a hospital-based drama, which goes out on BBC1 for an hour every Tuesday. It is a spin-off from Casualty, both are set at Holby City Hospital. Most of the action is based around two wards at the hospital and it is heavily focused on the personal lives of the staff - mostly the nurses and doctors. It has a few ... Read the complete review

I am happy to say I haven't had much to do with hospitals (touch wood). However whenever I have heard cast members of Holby City being interviewed they all comment on how realistic everything is and how they researched their part by attending hospital operations. Holby City is a spin off from the popular saturday night programme Casualty. Whereas ... Read the complete review

I have become something of an addict to TV hospital dramas, and while Casualty will always have a special place in my heart, I also quite enjoy watching Holby City. I should start by explaining that both dramas are actually based at the same hospital - Holby City. This is meant to basically be in Bristol, which explains some of the ... Read the complete review

What is it? Holby City is a medical drama normally shown at 8pm on a Tuesday, broadcast on BBC 1. The drama looks at AAU floor, a cardiology floor, a general admissions floor and has an ITU department. Holby City is a spin off from Casualty, which is also a medical drama, based in the same hospital - but focusing on the Emergency department ... Read the complete review

Holby City - aaahhhh, it just doesn't satisfy me like it used to. I never really enjoyed Casualty but this weeknight spin off had me hooked from the start. I felt bereft if I missed and epsiode and for 1 hour a week lost myself in this engaging programme. Lately however, It has lost the spark. Anton Meyer a leading cardiothorasic (or ... This is my favourite programme ever... I have never missed an episode, if I go out i record it and always make sure I watch it on my return with a cup of tea! I have enjoyed it from the start when it used to feature a children's ward and a maternity ward. I do think it would benefit from the return of either or both of these wards now, rather ... Holby City is a hospital drama filmed in Bristol in the West Country. It is something of a spin off from Casualty (also set in Bristol). Holby City benefits from the presence of several strong and interesting characters. The drama focuses on the lives of the hospital staff (and less on the patients so it has a slightly different angle ... Read the complete review

Holby City focusses on the life of the doctors and nurses at Holby City Hospital. It is a spin off series from Casualty. When the programme first started it had many more wards including the childrens wards (which I think is a shame its gone) It was also more patient focussed. Now the show is more focussed on the doctors and nurses. I think this ... Read the complete review

I have watched Holby City from the beginning when the focus was on patients and the hospital. It has now shifted in focus and the doctor's and nurse's private lives are the main basis of the programme. In my opinion this is a real shame since it used to be a great programme. In the beginning the programme followed the lives of the ... Read the complete review

I am sure I am not the only one who is watching Holby City this evening. I used to be a fan of Casualty and progressed to watching Holby City when it first appeared as a spin-off from Casualty a few years ago. I would not say it is my favourite television program but it certainly now ranks above the original Casualty with me. The ... Read the complete review

Some people think I'm sad when I say I like Holby City, and that's a shame, because it's a bloody good TV programme. Holby City is a spin-off from one of the BBC's flagship Saturday night TV dramas, Casualty. Rather than deal with the ridiculous accidents that Casualty deals with, Holby concentrates on the complcated surgeries that some ... Read the complete review

I confess I am a huge fan of Holby City. In years gone by I used to watch Casualty but once they produced the spin-off Holby City I couldn't watch it anymore, the storylines seemed dull and the acting wooden. Holby City is not as all out action-packed as E.R nor as glamorous but it is a busy show with many different storylines, many ... Read the complete review

Holby City is an offshoot of Casualty set in Holby City hospital's Darwin, Kellor and maternity wards. It's fantastic almost like a soap opera with the occasional patient. The staff have so many dramas and relationships with each other it's amazing more of the patients don't die of neglect, because the nurse is involved in a round ... Read the complete review

Holby city is the outstanding new medical drama that has swept across the United Kingdom. After the almost tragic loss of ER alias Emergency Room with the females much-favoured George Clooney, terrestrial TV was devastated. It had lost one of the best dramas that had ever braced its shores. So what was so great about ER and why has Holby city and ... Read the complete review

Sit down on a Tuesday evening in front of the TV, tune to BBC1 at around 7.50pm, and you will be viewing Holby City. Holby City is the spin off medical drama from the hit BBC show ‘Casualty’.
