Hole in the Wall is a leading contender for the worst TV programme ever made, yet some how managed to get a second series currently airing on BBC1 after final score and before Merlin. Hole in the wall, as a concept is exactly as it sounds there is a whole in the wall which three celebrities have to contort themselves into to get through as the wall rushes towards them. They stand on a platform and there is water either side of them, if they fail they land in the water. The shows host then awards each team so many points based on their performance in that task. Dale Winton. What a man! Entertaining the nation (maybe not everyone) from his Radio 2 show 'Pick of the Pops' to the lottery show In it To Win It. When I found out that he was to present Hole in the Wall I was a little bit disappointed but then after one series he left. Which was good. Until Anton Du Beke stepped up. I don't know what's going on with male celebrities I like who insist on presenting daft game shows. The basic concept of the game is really simple to understand. Two teams of three have to contort their bodies so as to fill through a hole in a wall! This wall is made out of polystyrene and is moving towards the contestants at a quick ... Hole In The Wall is a remake of a Japanese game show in which celebrity guests have to contort themselves into all sorts of dodgy positions wearing a silver lycra body-suit in order to fit through.....you guessed it.... A Hole In The Wall that moves steadily towards them. Fail and the guests fall into a pool of water, succeed and they earn points. After several rounds of increasing difficulty, the team of celebrities with the most points wins and a prize of £10,000 is donated to the charity of their choice. This last fact is probably (what do I mean probably...definitely!!) the only redeeming factor of this show that, otherwise, is lowest common denominator viewing of ... Read the complete review

One of those programmes that you just know we have stolen from Japanese television, it seems to be a human version of tetris, where celebrities dressed in terribly ill fitting lycra have a wall coming towards them and have to contort their body into various shapes to fit through the hole in the wall and avoid being knocked in the water. I struggle to understand how this programme is shown in the prime BBC1 Saturday night slot when most people will be watching the television, it is cheap, tacky and incredibly unbecoming of the main British television channel. However and I must be honest here, watching people desperate to embarrass themselves dressed ... Read the complete review

The Teams --------- The gameshow is made up of 2 teams of 3 celbrities captained by Anton du Beke (Strictly come dancing) and Darren Gough (Former international cricketer). During series 1, their celebrity teammates have included the likes of Vic Reeves, Phil Tuffnell, Nell McAndrew, Nancy Lamb, Vanessa Feltz (who felt the need to appear twice on the show) & others. The Aim of the Game -------------------- The aim of the game is quite simply as the title suggest for ... Read the complete review
