Advantages: Skin tight pretty girls

Disadvantages: Skin tight not pretty girls

Hole in the Wall is a leading contender for the worst TV programme ever made, yet some how managed to get a second series currently airing on BBC1 after final score and before Merlin.

Hole in the wall, as a concept is exactly as it sounds there is a whole in the wall which three celebrities have to contort themselves into to get through as the wall rushes towards them. They stand on a platform and there is water either side of them, if they fail they land in the water. The shows host then awards each team so many points based on their performance in that task. There are two teams of three celebrities, all are clad in skin tight silver outfits with either red or blue helmets.

The first series was hosted by Dale Winton and its two team captains were Darren Gough and Anton Du Beke, for the second series Anton Du Beke took over from Dale and the team captains are Austin Healey and Jo swash. Each time the team do a task, the replay is commentated on by Jonathan Pierce.

So its a fairly simple concept, why is it so BAD!!

Well there is the skin tight costumes, ok on some pretty girl or a hunk but there have been less body perfect displays as well. Vanessa Feltz was one.

The show is a tired one, a programme lacking in any kind of merit and it angers me that the BBC has made this joke for a show using my TV licence money. There must be better ideas than this out there for a bit of light family fun on the early saturday evening show. You know its not going well when Dale Winton jettisons the show and they have to get a new presenter.

I'm going to give it two stars because its only redeeming feature is that the show doesn't pretend to be anything else, this is a bit of fun and is shown as that.

Summary: Come on BBC you can do better
