Advantages: An engaging soap

Hollyoaks has been showing on Channel 4 since 1995. The cast changes regularly keeping the storylines fresh and the actors and actresses young and good looking!

Its one of my favourite soaps even though I think the show is aimed at teenagers. It tackles serious issues such as Anorexia, HIV, teenage pregnancy abuse and sexuality as well as exams and careers.

The plots are always very engaging and I think the fact that they sometimes do a late night Hollyoaks shows that they are trying to broaden the story lines aiming it towards adults aswell. Im glad they improved some of the sillier characters for example Max and Ob who used to try and make money with silly schemes in the old days and developed them into far more adult characters capturing more serious issues, such as death in the family, and freindships versus relationships

I think the standard of most of the acting is very good although Im sure a lot of people would disagree.

Hollyoaks is shown at 6.30pm on channel 4 with the following days episode airing at 7pm on E4.

Summary: A great soap for all ages
