Advantages: Aimed at younger people

Disadvantages: No, less than hot, people

Hollyoaks simply has to be the best soap on TV for the younger generation. By that I probably mean from the age of around 14 to 30. There are plenty of great storylines in Hollyoaks centered around school, college and young adult life. This is rarely seen in soaps as they tend to go for a much more broader audience.

The way Hollyoaks presents itself is quite unique and some of the cut scenes show a lot of invention. This, coupled with some great soundtracks that you don't get in the more established older soaps, back up my claim that this is a show for the younger generation.

There are some explosive storylines in Hollyoaks and some of the spin off late night series are edgy to say the least. I thoroughly enjoy this show, but just have one critisicm. There is no village in the country that doesn't possess any ugly people, so on that score, Hollyoaks is wholy unrealistic.

Summary: Great for younger people and on at the right time.
