Advantages: great soap

Disadvantages: no old characters in opening sequence

Hollyoaks is a fantastic soap, currently shown on Channel 4 at 6.30 every week night. It centres around the inhabitants of a small village called 'Hollyoaks' and their day to day lives and goings-on. The soap is good as it deals with many issues facing the youth of today. For example, recent storylines have invovled drug abuse, losing your virginity, crushes and affairs, anorexia, gay and lesbian relationships and general college life.

Ok, so some of the storylines are a bit far fetched. Such as those surounding the character Warren Fox. He has to date got away with murdering two people, although one of his best friends is the local police officer!

The only other criticism I have of the soap is the opening credits. Has anyone noticed that they don't show all the cast - only the young or good looking members of it - I think this is quite bad as there are many other characters such as Frankie and Jack that are quite central to some storylines and are not shown in the opening because they are too old!

Summary: great programme
