Advantages: Great cast!

Disadvantages: Only on for half an hour!

Everyone I know watches Hollyoaks and loves it! This is the best soap on TV and I have been watching it since it was first shown on C4 in 1995 and the show has just got better and better every year. I know most blokes will say they only watch Hollyoaks for one reason, the girls, but as well as this fab aspect the show is also extremely entertaining and you can't help but want to watch the next episode!

The show comes on C4 everyday at 6.30pm and an omnibus edition is shown on Sundays about 10.00am on T4. They have also recently started to show a 'First Look' program everyday at 7.00pm on E4 where you can watch tomorrows C4 program today. E4 also show repeats at 4.30pm and show the omnibus edition on Saturday and Sunday so there's no way you can miss an episode! There have also been a few special episodes which are shown late at night.

Hollyoaks has long become part of the British soap culture with the likes of Eastenders and Coronation St and is regularly up for awards in the various soap awards. This is because the show is not afraid to deal with issues which other soaps may be scared to. As Hollyoaks is mainly centred around the lives of 18-30 year olds they are great at delving into issues which the youth are currently trying to get through, everything from homosexuality to drug taking. They are not scared to explore out there storylines but never make the storylines unbelievable like Corrie can do from time to time!

Over the years the Hollyoaks cast has been great with notable characters including Jambo Bolton played by Will Mellor, Debbie Dean played by Jodi Albert and my fav Izzy Davies played by Elize Du Toit. A lot of the stars of the show have gone on to become extremely famous in the UK and have since made loads of money! Currently the cast is bigger than ever and are all great, how can you complain about such beauty!!

I love sitting and having a TV dinner with Hollyoaks, it's a perfect start to an evening!
