Advantages: Funny, Realistic

Disadvantages: Young cast makes people feel its for younger people

I started watching Hollyoaks one/two years ago. It was about 10:30pm and it was a late night episode where Luke was raped. I think what made me start watching Hollyoaks was that it isn't your average soap.

I find Hollyoaks is more realistic in a sense. They don't have plane crashes, thunderstorms, people coming back from the dead... they had a murderer, but every soap has a murderer.. but Hollyoaks provides us with abit of comedy. You can't laugh at Eastenders.

There are funny characters in Hollyoaks, for example, Bombhead (the actor who plays him was on my flight to Greece last year), Lee Hunter, Ben Davies, people actually have fun in Hollyoaks.

People may say Hollyoaks is for teenagers and students, but it's not. If you watch a few episodes, get the jist of who is who, and whats happening, anyone can get into it.
