My youngest daughter loves this little character, she has many DVDs and even more books which she can lose herself in for hours, so, I thought I'd see what she was constantly laughing at. Horrid Henry was created by Francesca Simon, (illustrated by Tony Ross) back in 1994 and has so far graced my childs life with over books, CD/tapes/ DVDs, annuals and even an album featuring 2 discs of Henry songs. Even some books have been sold as Audio and narrated by Miranda Richardson In 2004 Horrid Henry aired on the Childrens channel CITV with over 50 cartoon episodes based on some of the books, with titles such as: Perfect Peters ... Horrid Henry is a show about a boy called Henry who is always getting into trouble. He pulls pranks, teases his little brother and doesn't listen to his parents. Whilst this sounds like a show unsuitable for children, it is portrayed in a funny way and the kids know Henery is being bad. My younger brother watches this show and he's always saying 'That was naughty' or 'He's going to get into trouble' and these are the reactions of my younger cousins too. Who would have thought that my Barbie loving daughter would be interested in a cartoon about a naughty little boy called Henry? This has turned into a favourite of mine and the children's and watching the antics of naughty Henry gives us all a daily laugh. Each cartoon focuses on something Henry is trying to achieve, like getting the tickets to his favourite football match or seeing his beloved band The Killer Boy Rats in concert. He will do anything to achieve his goal in each episode and unfortunately by any means.
