House InvadersNewest Review: ... whatever you call it, reminds me of Mary Poppins, but at least she pulled out welcoming things. Painting good wood or colour washing is a crime, I say let nature be in a room, more harmonious don’t you think. They have even replaced wood with that cheap MDF stuff or whatever it is called. SAD. The curtains have been cut in half and an unmatching piece inserted through the middle of ... more |

House invaders, if you ever invite them to my house, you will definitely be in a lot of trouble. I mean the designs are total crap, cheap and nasty. I know they only have a day or whatever but I could get better results in an hour. Linda barker and Anna Ryder need glasses or something, or is it just their sick way of taking the mickey, or even practising to improve their career. When I have been totally bored I have watched house invaders and believe me by the end of the programme I have been in hysterics with their ideas and tears for the poor homeowners. Both women seem to have a fetish about bright colours, it is so totally dated. Painting ... Read the complete review

PROGRAMME??. If you have Sky digital then turn your channel to 148 to UK Style. If you have the time then every morning they have House Invaders on from 9pm to 1.30pm. I personally think it?s a great programme and one where you can pick up a lot of tips. House Invaders also comes on normal terrestrial TV on BBC 1 and BBC 2. CONCEPT???. The concept is simple, you supply your house and they revamp it for free within a day. That?s all. The team consisting of the presenter Anna and her two male colleagues one of them being Jake, help redecorate your house using the material, paints they find in your cupboard. It?s a very inexpensive way ... Read the complete review

I think this is the greatest show. I have used many of their ideas to redecorate my own home. I have recycled many things in my own home to make new treasures. If you were actually paying attention to the show you would hear the home owners explain why they have all of those things lying around. They were there when they moved in, the paint was left over from their last house. I have quite a bit of that. I don't think it is fake at all. Some of the designs I don't like. But I watch a lot of these types of shows and I find that happens, you don’t always love what they have done. Anyhow, had to put my two cents in. I think it is a wonderful ... The House Invaders show is being re-aired on BBC Prime. It's the first time around for me and as a new house owner I was really looking forward to some good tips and while I find the show very entertaining and I can see how some of their ideas could be developed into sollutions I can live with if done more professionally, I'm mostly disappointed. Colors may be a matter of taste and the programs were done in the 1990's where people still used vivid colors on the wall, and some people like my mother still does. But I don't know very many people today who want blue or pink walls or cactusses painted in their kitchen. All that stencil work and ... Read the complete review
