PROGRAMME??.

If you have Sky digital then turn your channel to 148 to UK Style. If you have the time then every morning they have House Invaders on from 9pm to 1.30pm. I personally think it?s a great programme and one where you can pick up a lot of tips. House Invaders also comes on normal terrestrial TV on BBC 1 and BBC 2.

CONCEPT???.

The concept is simple, you supply your house and they revamp it for free within a day. That?s all. The team consisting of the presenter Anna and her two male colleagues one of them being Jake, help redecorate your house using the material, paints they find in your cupboard. It?s a very inexpensive way of improving your house which is all done within a day.
It?s actually quite remarkable what they do, some of the stuff they have done to houses using very simply ideas like stencilling have been excellent. If like me you are a DIY enthusiasts you will be inspired.

SOME OF THE IDEAS??

Kitchen ideas, painting the worktop a lighter colour. Making binds using paper.
In the bedroom one of the things they often do is using tape, add a contrasting colour to a wall which really adds colour to the walls. They?ll create a headboard for a bedroom from wood left over, shelves from timber which would have been sanded down. In the kids bedroom they will create some hangings, extra storage space, brighten the colours in the rooms.
They have some excellent ideas for the living room. They create fireplaces, rearrange the furniture in the rooms to create extra space, make some curtains from spare fabric. What they do is simple and you could probably do it yourself. In a day they can totally revamp a house. The difference is noticeable and makes the houses look really nice.

The good thing about the makeover they do is that it doesn?t cost anything. Everything is recycled from the person?s house. Just imagine making your house look ten times better without it costing anything
.

On a few occasions they have done makeovers to the house and a few of the people have been far from pleased but on the whole the majority of people are really grateful. You can learn so much like you may never have thought about sticking tiles on your living room wall above the fireplace or smashing some tiles and then sticking the pieces to create a nice design for a table.

CONCLUSION

There are a lot of DIY programmes on the box. House Invaders for me at least is one of the more practical programmes because it doesn?t involve you spending to much money-none actually and you can transfer the ideas from the show to your own house.
