What's the show all about then?

The show is simple, in each episode Kim and Aggie visit the household which is deemed to be in drastic need of a good old clean. Firstly, they meet the occupants which can be rather surprising as you wouldn't expect the hell holes that some of these people live in when you see them on camera, it's a real eye opener. After a brief introduction Kim and Aggie make their way around the place, exploring and looking in every nook and cranny in search of some good old fashioned dirt and grime; they always find what they are looking for as the households chosen for the show are generally awful places you wouldn't want your worst enemy to have to live in! I would also suggest that you don't sit in front of the telly with your dinner on your lap whilst watching the show, as to be honest it will really put you off your food and make you feel physically sick!

After a good inspection of the place, Kim, Aggie and the household members get down to cleaning, telling off the owners as they go for allowing their property to get into such a state! They are real cleaning professionals and have some excellent tips up their sleeves to clean certain areas, stains etc. It is good for little tips and hinters.

Who is the show aimed at?

I found the show quite interesting to watch whilst at uni because often the houses they visit are student occupied, which is entertaining! Generally, it is aimed at everyday people, homeowners who clean and are looking for tips and people who just want to be entertained. The show is very entertaining and I do enjoy looking at the mess in other peoples properties, but like other shows the format doesn't really change much, so if you've seen a few episodes you can kinda get the gist of things.

Where is the show?

How clean is your house was first broadcast in May 2003 and is still currently shown on channel 4, each episode lasts approximately thirty minutes which is good because it's not the kind of show you could watch all evening!

Recommended?

I would definitely recommend the show, but as I have said already the format does tend to repeat itself, which can get a bit laborious after a while. If you're after half an hour of light entertainment then you won't be disappointed with this show.
