Advantages: A good show, highly addictive, great tips, Kim & Aggie are quite funny.

Disadvantages: Some parts make me cringe.

How Clean Is Your House? is a channel 4 show which is hosted by Kim & Aggie who are two ladies in their 50's who are known for their meticulous cleaning standards.

Kim & Aggie will be contacted by either a friend, relative or the actual person whose house is filthy. Upon arriving we are shown just how disgusting their house is and given a little background information on the person whose house we are seeing. Sometimes they will have cleaners and I am just astounded at how disgusting their houses can be. There is often rats, mice, cockroaches etc that have infested the places because they are just so untidy. There will be washing, plates and just generally disgusting rubbish lying around everything. Kim & Aggie then begin testing certain areas of the house such as the shower plughole and the kitchen sink and then the results go off to the 'lab' for analysis and then we will be told what germs and nasties have been found in the hope that this will shock people in to keeping their house nice and tidy.

Kim & Aggie bring in a cleaning team who help to get the house back to a habitable place and they will dish out lots of tips along the way about keeping certain areas tidy and household or very cheap items such as vinegar or bicarbonate of soda that can be used in a whole host of ways to keep everything from glass to televisions looking spick and span.

Once the cleaning is complete we are shown before and after videos of the property and Kim & Aggie will badger the person in to cleaning more often and keeping on top of things and quite often they will provide them with a cleaning rota or something similar. They will then return a few weeks or a few months later to check that things are still nice and tidy and if not then they will help the people get back on track.

Even though I quite often find myself cringing quite often at this show I have picked up some fantastic tips and I really enjoy watching it just to show how much they can help people to turn things around. I would highly recommend it, it's certainly addictive viewing and my favourite part is when they go back and see how people are getting on. I am rating this show 4/5 and have knocked off a star purely because of a few news articles over time which have said that some of the aspects of the show are vastly staged and to be honest I can believe it!

Summary: A highly watchable show with some fantastic tips for keeping your home clean.
