The television show "How Clean Is Your House?" first hit uk tv screens in 2003. It stars Aggie McKenzie and Kim Woodburn. Both are professional cleaners and they visit members of the public in their dirty homes to show them how to clean and transform their minging houses. And i really mean Minging! Some people have not cleaned their homes in years and their rooms are full of mould, dirts, insects and sometimes worse.

I love watching this programme because for some reason it gives me the get up and go to clean the house. I am far from being like Monica from friends but i am not even a tenth as dirty as some people in these programmes. I cant believe how dirty some people can let their houses get, its just disgusting! Theres messy and then theres just plain lazy.

What i dont get is how the people on the show arent mortified more by the state of their houses and the fact they actually have the nerve to go on tv showing them! I would die of embarrassment if someone i knew saw my house looking like that, the last thing you would want to do is advertise it.

One show runs for about 35 mins and you can currently watch it on More4 and on Channel 4. Kim and Aggie have loads of brilliant cleaning tips on how to clean things with lemon, vinegar and natural products like baking soda. I also love the commentary that goes on throughout the programme, it never fails to make me laugh. This show has a real gross out factor and some completely disgusting houses that will just turn your stomach.

Some houses even have rats and mice crawling about them! If thats not enough to clean your home, i dont know what is! Some people on this show are disease growing slobs and i know if Aggie ran a swab over my kitchen worktop she wouldnt find fecal streptococci - gross!
