Advantages: Great Insight into the 1970's

I was born in the 1980’s; so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to show you that I didn’t even live through the 1970’s. I did watch the series though on the 1970’s out of curiosity, many people saying that it was one of the most remember able decades in the last century.

The programme looked every week at a different 1970’ year; a film made in that year followed the show. It was fascinating to see the clothes people wore, the hairstyles they had and the programmes and films people watched. The series looked at everything from the fanatic fans of the top bands of the time to the famous space hoppers. The parts that I laughed at were the old TV ads they had, its so much different from today. The series was a great insight into the 70’s and I toughly enjoyed the series.

I found the series very interesting and excellent entertainment for Saturday night, and I hope we have the same sort of series for the 1980’s [the decade I was born in] and then maybe onto the 1990’s.
