Advantages: A good concept

Disadvantages: Maybe not for eveyone

Steve Coogan's follow up to the magnificant Alan Partridge: Knowing Me Knowing You is even better than the original, which is a bit hard to believe given how funny the first series was.
This series follows Alan as he tries to get a new contract to so he can make another sries of his chat show. He is currently working at Radio Norwich on a VERY early morning shift. He has been staying in a travel hotel and it is here where a lot of the jokes happen.
Alan is a complete failure at his work and indeed at life in general but he refuses to give in. He tries to get a second series so badly he suggests shows like "Monkey Tennis" and when refused he rams a block of cheese in the head of the BBC's face.
The jokes are mostly about the way Alan acts towards people and his lack of regard for everyone else. He doesn't realise he is the subject of the jokes. He often criticises others for example when he meets two Irishmen he makes a joke about the Irish being "toothless simpletons with eyebrows on thier cheeks". His disrespect for people lands him in trouble numerous times like when he offends farmers and he gets a cow dropped on him. Alan's the sort of person that can offend anyone and not care one bit.
The comedy in I'm Alan partridge is the type that some will find incredibly funny but others might well hate it, its that sort of show. Its for this reason that I don't recommend running out a buting the videos. Even though I loved it I have to say it isn't the type of show that everyone could like. It is very well written and the acting is quite good too. As with so many other BBC shows its a great shame that they haven't decided to make another series. Judging form the reviews its got so far it would have been an even bigger hit than the first.

Good review... there are so many great moments throughout the series. Think I'll have to write my own opinion. :)
