Advantages: Keeps children entertained for twenty minutes at a time

Disadvantages: strange!

In the night garden is one of those very annoying childrens programmes that will get on most adults nerves but appeals to all children everywhere!

The programme consists of a group of very odd characters that are clearly deranged! The characters are basically people in big costumes that are obviously sweating there butts off inside these outfits! The whole thing is very similar to the Teletubbies but there is much more to see and do as there are more characters involved in the show.

The characters are outright strange and annoying. Igglepiggle for instance is a big, blue.........thing who carrys a red blankie around with him. He is one of the stars of the show and is seen to be a little bit naughty as the show always ends with him refusing to go to bed.

Upsy Daisy is a doll like girl who is constantly singing 'Upsy Daisy' and I do wonder if she suffers with memory loss so needs to shout her name out all of the time so she doesn't forget it!

There is also Makka pakka who likes to clean things and the Haa hoos who float around not saying much! You will also be relieved to know that there are a few vehicles that feature in the show to enable the characters to get around; The Nicky Nonk and The Pinky Ponk.

The whole thing is rather strange and the storylines consist of things like Upsy Daisy getting lost or Makka Pakka wanting to clean everything in sight much like my mother! They are very simple but seem to capture Noah's imagination and he sits staring at the screen mesmerized.

I find the whole thing boring and especially hate the narrator's voice. It really gets my back up and if Noah asks for it then I will try to do something in the other room for the twenty minutes that it lasts.

If you like it then there is a whole array of items that you can buy including clocks, bedding, toys and more!

Summary: I hate it!
