Advantages: Kids love it, keeps them quiet

Disadvantages: I can't see that kids will learn anything from it

The majority of reviews on here for this show appear to be very positive, and my 2 year old loves it (when I let him watch) but I can't for the life of me figure out what it's supposed to be about or what the educational content is...

Derek Jacobi narrates the series (god knows why he took this job!) which is mostly people dressed up in colourful character outfits with the occasional animated interlude.

Teletubbies came under a huge amount of fire when it came out because the characters didn't talk properly.... this show is so much worse, yet it seems everyone loves it.

I can't say too much about the show as I can't figure out what it's meant to be about other than a handful of bright, colourful characters who can't talk (apart from their names) and ride about on a 'Ninky-Nonk' or 'Pinky Ponk' or an 'Og-Pog' or other just as strange stuff.

I can understand why kids like it, but I just can't figure the value in this program. Aren't kids programs these days meant to teach something as well as being fun?

Summary: Candy for the TV... Very sweet but no good stuff!

This show drives me mad, and thankfully my daughter has grown out of it now .
