Advantages: Very funny
Disadvantages: Only last for half an hour
"Did you know that the Americans would have no where to live if we hadn't found it for them?" That was just one of the many short punchlines from stand-up, 'I'm always miserable' comedian Jack Dee that left me in hysterrical fits on the sofa on one Friday night while watching BBC 1. I had only slightly heard of Jack Dee previously after seeing him on TV a couple of times and one of my friends commenting on his never-ending humour. Of course I recognized him more when Celebrity Big Brother came along. Jack tried to escape and went on the win the game show after persistently telling a video diary that he wanted to go. Dee has the excellent gift of being able to keep a straight face whenever he wants to and manages to completely humiliate other giggling celebrites without even the slightest smirk. The way he humiliated Steven Gately was outstanding, constantly referring to him as "The little cute one at the back". I look forward to seeing a wide range of celebrities sitting in the dreaded seat in coming weeks and one is bound to press the panic button! One problem though, Jack Dee's Happy Hour only lasts for half the amount of time that it's meant to, maybe someone should complain to the BBC, 'cause we want more jack!
