I used to watch this show and think what the hell is it all about. Jerry Springer is about Jerry Springer taking to normal life people about their problems. They get the chance to come on the show in front of a public audience to discuss their matters. What normally happens in each show a subject will be brought up such as cheating partners,lesbians or anything related to a bad matter on the show. Jerry Springer is arguably the father of all talk shows. Its been around now for around 20 odd years, spawning countless episodes. Most shows are generally half an hour with several guests, all with problems ranging from cheating spouses to drug dealing children. The credibility of the show has been questioned, with many people claiming that the show is all set up, and the guests are actually actors (this wouldn't surprise me if it was true). This type of show I must confess is sort of my guilty pleasure and dirty little secret ;) I just love watching the mostly idiots make absolute fools of themselves by failing a lie detector or confessing an affair to their partner. I certainly does make for great television and hilarious entertainment and you might even get a few punch ups along the way! I confess. I used to love this show. I think this was because I am talking about more than 10 years ago, when this show first aired on British TV - it was also so new and shocking. Never before had the British Public seen such a dynamic and scandalous 'chat show.' Kilroy just wasn't in the same element. The Jerry Springer show is not your ordinary chat show. It does not tackle serious issues and offer backstage councelling and advice.
