Disadvantages: weird people air their problems

Jerry Springer is a former politician and lawyer. Since early 90's he has his own TV show in USA, The Jerry Springer Show, it has been syndicated to TV networks outside USA.

For years it has appeared on ITV late at nights. I am not sure of other broadcast times because I only watched it after midnight.

Jerry Springer Show is called trash TV and some media people have called it bad for USA image abroad. Jerry has also been accused of exploiting people. He doesn't care because in 2000 he was earning $6 million a year. One of security guards on the show has his own show independent of Springer.

The format of the Springer show is dysfunctional families, friends and partners coming on show to tell Springer and audience problems about one or more people they know. Once their story is told the bad guy comes on screen to confront, this often leads to fights and loud arguments.

Once Springer deals with one group he brings in another this goes on until it is time to end the show. Before the end audience stand up and ask questions, generally insulting the people on stage. At the end Springer gives his sermon on how to deal with the issues and the show ends.

The Springer Show is called trash TV. People say bad things about it. This attitude is wrong. Don't like something switch it off. People coming on want their 15 minutes of fame. If they don't care about themselves why should we do watching it.
