Advantages: Very entertaining

Disadvantages: Ocassional dud episode

Jonathan Creek puts a new spin on the tried and tested detective series formula. For a start Creek (Alan Davies) is not a detective, but a Magician who along with his assistant Maddy (Caroline Quentin), a reporter, solve mysteries that are seemingly impossle. Whereas in most mystery programmes you can have a pretty good stab at who the murderer is, in Jonathan Creek it is usualy almost impossible to work out and that is half the fun of it.

Jonathan Creek hasn't been on since last Christmas but hopefully a new series should be coming soon as by enlarge the episodes are very entertaining and often pretty amusing. I would be hard pushed to name a favourite episode as they are all so good but if the old series are repeated I would highly recommend checking them out.
