“ ITV2 / Reality Show „
I can't make my mind up with Katie and Peter most of the time but I have to say their tv programme is my guilty pleasure. I don't know what it is but for me I have to watch it. I love to see what Katie is spending her money on and love to see Pete moaning about something even though he has little to moan about. It is simply one of those programmes that you have to watch to try and figure out exactly what the truth is but I am sure that they are now pros at making you believe what they want you to. Even since the split watching their separate programmes I still think that they should be together as I can't stand watching them bitching about each other. It is good to see how people with that much money cope with day to day life and reassruing to knw that oney dsoesn't bring happiness and that it doesn't matter how much money you have their is always something wrong
Whatever you may think about Katie Price (a model and author) and Peter Andre (Pop singer), this series is an interesting insight into the former couple's life and relationships. The show is aired on ITV2 and although the series has now ended it is often repeated on the channel. The show is a reality programme which aims to document the couple's life on a daily basis. Whilst it is not clear as to whether the programme makers were under instruction to make the couple look as good as possible, or whether it truly was a 'warts and all' programe - it still makes for interesting viewing. This series enables the viewer to see inside Katie and Peter's family home, on tour, on modelling shoots and to see how they interact with their children, family and the media. What is so interesting about this series is that the demise of Katie and Peter's relationship is increasingly apparent. Katie and Peter are frequently seen arguing and the tension is evident. Shortly after this series finished, the couple ended their relationship. Katie is portrayed in this series as a moaning, bossy individual who gives her husband Peter a hard time throughout. Peter is seen as a man trying to make his wife happy and receiving constant rejection and bitterness from Jordan. When the marriage ended, it is likely as a result of her behaviour during this series, which led to the public backlash. People wondered why Katie had not treated Peter with more love and respect and why he had put up with her for so long. Despite the split, this series is still endering to watch as the couple clearly had a bond together due to their 3 children (two of them who are biologically Peter's). They also remind us that couple's do argue and do have to work at a relationship. The couple's 3 children are present throughout filming of this series, which could be a criticism of the show - as is it right to drag young children into a reality show which shows them and their family in all their glory to millions of people? Overall............... An interesting and addictive programme
I have just reviewed Kerry Katona-Crazy In Love, a show which I absolutely hated so I thought I would review a reality show that I loved. I say loved in past tense because now they have split up the show will be no more, and even though they have both already got their own shows out (Peter:The Next Chapter and What Katie did Next) it will never be the same because what worked so well was the two of them together. Katie and Peter first met on another reality show I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here in 2004. At first everyone was sceptical of their relationship and thought it was just a publicity stunt. However when just one year on they had a baby and got married it was clear this was about love. Cashing in on the nations obsession with the pair was just a clever business decision on their part. Something they must have decided on early in their relationship because it was not long before ITV2 was following their every movement. Over the years we saw them have baby Junior, get married, have a miscarriage, have baby Princess and re-new their wedding vows just last year. The show basically follows around Katie, Peter, Harvey, Junior and Princess through their daily life, with holidays being a regular feature. The most recent and last series focused on their three month move to L.A. in which we see the bickering turning into arguing and the couples straining relationship clear for everyone to see. After watching this and the way Katie started treating Pete it was not suprising they split up. I really enjoyed watching all of the series of this program, they were such a loverly couple and had an exciting life which was great to watch. I can't be alone in thinking this as the show is one of ITV2's most popular shows and the interest in them must be great otherwise they wouldn't now have their own shows for the channel. It is such a shame the couple split and the show has ended.
This is a program about a family of five (Katie, Peter, Princess, Harvey and Junior) who get filmed 24/7 by cameras and they follow them throughout their busy lives. It follows them on interviwes, road trips, meetings and shows them looking after and caring for their children. There are, however, lots of graphical details and shows the couple and their sexual nature which can be in appropriate to young viewers (probably tweleve and under). It shows how the couple are dedicated to their family but also to their careers and their private lives. It shows their ups and downs and it proves how they are like the rest of us and just a normal family deep down. It also goes into depth about harvey's condition and how it is a struggle to care for him and his brother and his sister while still giving him the attention he needs. It is a really good program and interesting to have an insight on how fame affects your life and affects your family's lives too.
Put two attention seeking minor celebrities together, allow them to marry under the pretence that they love each other and then film every single thing they do. This is the idea of Katie and Peter the next chapter, following the lives of the devoted Katie Price and Peter Andre as they attempt to become more famous for having a reality television show about wanting to be famous. The show follows the couple in their everyday life and is way too graphic, the children are allowed in front of the cameras and we hear way too much personal information. The show is on ITV2 and it is a good channel to have it on so that too manty people don't see this. Price comes across as quite a nasty person on the show, she is obviously a very bright woman for the career she has created and the money she has made but she comes across as a rude money obsessed person with few social skills, whether this is the real her or a screen persona is hard to tell and thats what makes the show even more annoying, whats real and whats set up for the cameras? Andre comes across as a man who got lucky but wishes he hadn't a man belittled for being himself, but to be fair he comes across as a much nicer person and is likely to use this to his advantage in their forthcoming divorce. The show is nasty and desperate and is cheap television aimed to titilate for people who think their lives should be like this. Its not a programme I have enjoyed or will ever in the future, but having seen it a few times its easy to see why the couple have decided they shouldn't be together. The show is put together and is part reality and part script, its sad indictment of modern life in every sense.
At first when i heard about the programme i wasent so sure as ive never been keen on peter aundre niether katie untill i read her first book and really got to like her. I missed a few of the series and every one told me it was great so i logged on to itv catch up and watched them and i found i was hooked and never missed an episode. What is it about???Its basiclly about there family of 5 getting filmed 24/7 but only shows the best parts and rarley shows the bad parts. It shows you thorugh her pregnancies, holidays, family times, there wedding. I love to watch it as i find katie so genuine and is not bothered about being followed bye the camera crew but i find pete is not so genuine and plays him self around the camera a little ive noticed he acts like the perect husband and ive figured why katie gets so annoyed and they argue alot is because of this and pete is not prefect and it obviosly annoys her when he does it in front of the cameras. There three children are in it to and you get to see how they live pretty good actually katie must have a hard time looking afer her children as harvery is blind and partially death poor kid. But i must say they are pretty lazey as when they was moving house they barel done anything pete just sat there singing whilst ever one else was hurrying around but i suppose with that amount of money they can do what ever. I find it great that you get to see katie having surgery such as veeners fitted and the pain she goes through afterwards, botox, and more botox. All together i think it's a great show and its on at 9till10 or on the next day around 12.00 also you can watch it on itv catch up any time and have around 120 to do so untill it expires.
Although i have not watched this programme religiously i have have seen a few episodes whilst flicking through the channels to see what's on. Every time i have done this though i have always ended getting into the programme and end up watching it till the end. This is a series about one of the most famous couples around Peter Andre and Katie Price (more commonly know as Jordan). It's where they have a camera crew follow their every move for a period of time over a few months. They also have their three children shown and they are Harvey, Junior and Princess Tiaamii. It's all about their daily life routines and not to say the many disagreements Katie and Peter end up having. I have always noticed that it is about 80% of the time that Katie gets moody and then this is what triggers their arguments. No doubt this will be the last series that they will do as it's thier third series they done.
Although I don't go out of my way to watch Katie and Peter - The Next Chapter if there's nothing much on T.V and I stumble across it while searching for something to watch I tend to watch it and find myself drawn in. There's something about watching other people in their daily lives that brings out my nosey side! When Katie Price (aka Jordan) went on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here I was pretty convinced I wouldn't like her but what I found was Katie is actually a nice person, good fun and very pretty even without make up and days in the jungle. Peter Andre used to be the prince of cheese with his music but he too proved likeable in the jungle and when the two of them began their flirting it seemed right. Of course years later they are now married with children and one of the best known showbiz couples around. It was inevitable they would end up doing something such as Katie and Peter The Next Chapter. I find the show to be "car crash" T.V and I'm always waiting for the next argument (there are plenty) or the next silly comment to come out of Peter's mouth (again there are plenty). We realise that Katie Price is actually a very shrewd businesswoman who will not let much stand in the way of her ambitions. Peter is a bit like Guy Ritchie, living in the shadows of a successful woman and trying to carve his career but never quite making it to the same extent. Combined they make for fascinating viewing, they both obviously adore their kids and I think both are very good parents, Peter never seems to favour his own over Harvey who is Katie's first child with Dwight Yorke and the family unit is strong. It's not the family unit however that has us all watching, it's the friction between Katie and Peter. Many relationships thrive with competitiveness and bickering and theirs is no exception, take for example the driving challenge they decided to do on one episode, both were utterly determined to win. But even with this constant friction their relationship seems to be holding firm, despite rumours in the press on a regular basis of "an imminent break up". Katie and Peter are very similar in their levels of intelligence and both sometimes make odd remarks, Katie's admittedly cruder than Peter's but again this works, no-one would expect either of them to be Stephen Hawkins clever or Helen Mirren refined! Then there are the slightly suggestive scenes which both Katie and Peter cringe at themselves in later episodes after the event and they do make you wince! It's the kind of scenes that definitely shouldn't be on camera for all the world to see! Overall the two of them work well together, they love their kids and their bickering and slightly remind me of a young Richard and Judy because of it. It's truly interesting watching these two, unlike Kerry Katona and her program which is not worth the waste of time. These types of programs are best achieved by people already used to cameras, it makes incidents we probably shouldn't see more likely to be the ones we do see! Very interesting people watching.
I have followed the reality program of Katie and Peter ever since it first started a coupld of years ago and in one respect I don't like it, and in another respect I do, but I can't help but watch it as I do find it quite entertaining. The program see's them followed around 24 hours a day by a television crew that record there every move, obviously the program is edited to provide the best bits but in some aspects I don't there are actually any best bits. Now having a family of three children, Harvey, Junior and Princess, you see the children exposed to the camera's which in my opinion I don't think it is right, although they have been slagged off about their parenting skills, but this program I feel portrays them as excellent parents and shows the devotion and the time that they have for their children. The program shows the obsession that Katie has for changing her body as she isn't completely happy the way that she is, and in one episodes, it shows you the amount of surgery that she undergoes in a very short space of time, including botox, botox..a little bit more botox, veneers and the pain that she goes through in order to feel better about herself. Peter I feel doesn't come across genuine, and I feel that he does play up to the camera's a little bit to come across more energetic than he actually is. He does come across as a dedicated husband and will do anything for his wife, Katie is just a loving as he is but she seems to express her feelings in a different way. Between the two of them they are both very competitive and don't like being outdone by the other. In general, it is quite an entertaining program, that I have followed right from the beginning and has shown their fairytale wedding, the pregnancies and their lives and success in general.
