Kenan and Kel is a comedy show which comes on Nickelodeon.The show features Kenan and Kel who are two friends.They actually are best friends they start the show always by coming on in front of people and repeating their trademark lines and start the show off. I used to watch this show when I was a teen in the ages of 15-18. This show appeals mostly to teenagers in those ages in my opinion. Kenan and Kel is the best teen series of the 1990s and probably still the best compared to other average sub standard sitcoms shown these days. The storylines are very simple yet so entertaining. Kenan plays the so called sensible character, while Kel plays the stupid hyper character, who is a recipe for chaos. My favourite episode is when Kel eats the whole Christmas Turkey and the fiasco that unfolds as a result of it. They order 2 turkeys but end up being delivered with 2 live turkeys!! how hilarious! Kenan and Kel is a children’s programme shown every weekday on Nickelodeon at 6.30pm (channel 604 on Sky). Imagine Laurel and Hardy but younger and even more stupid and you have pretty much captured the essence of Kenan and Kel, two teenagers who are constantly caught up in some sort of shenanigans and generally causing a lot of trouble. It is a programme which I would compare to Marmite; you either love it…or you hate it! I have to admit that the first few times that I watched Kenan and Kel I hated it. I thought it was dumb, stupid, pointless and all of the other words that adults use to describe kids TV shows. However, I now am of the opinion that it is one of the best shows on TV. Did I hit my head recently? I don't think so... Is it just me, or are there more shows on TV nowadays that are seemingly aimed at kids, but have a lot of underlying humor that will go straight over there heads. Take two Americans add a live audience (or just canned screaming and lauging cos why would actually people want to do either to this drivel) and you get the basic set up of Kenan and Kel. Most episodes start from a shop and either theres hillarious (pah) events there or at Kenans house, or a few other locations. And mostly Kenan and Kel end up breaking something or genrally being there annoying selves.
