Why do we watch stuff like this? (Kerry Katona - Crazy In Love)

Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love is one of the latest in a long line of fly on the wall / reality television shows which the general public can't get enough of. Very similar in nature to Katie & Peter the next chapter, this show follows the lives of Kerry Katona the ex Atomic Kitten singer and her husband Mark Croft. It was first shown in February of this year on MTV One and there have since been many episodes shown, including one of Kerry giving birth in which they apparently showed everything, although I didn't see this one.

I've seen a few episodes and they tend to be on quite late at night, probably due to the amount of appalling language that the pair use when talking to one another - it does make you question why you're bothering to watch the rubbish, but hey? The reason I watch the show is because I find it quite bizarre the way they think they're both big time celebrities yet are only doing the show purely for the money and have huge debts, I think Mark has even had to start doing his old job again, taxi work to make ends meet! It is quite a funny show and gives you an incite into the strange life these people lead.

I don't think Kerry came across very well in the show and her husband certainly didn't. It appeared that he was with her because of her money and fame, although now this appears to be running out. The pair are very rude to people and as already mentioned the swearing is quite outrageous so be ready for this if you are ready to watch for yourself.

People who would like this are those that like Big Brother, I'm a celebrity get me out of here, the X-Factor and all the other terrible reality television shows that are out there. Let's face it there all rubbish, yet we still watch them purely for the entertainment value. It's exactly the same with this show, it's tripe, yet for some strange reason it's very hard to turn it off. Check it out if you fancy it.
