Disadvantages: its not even funny in the slightest

This review is on king of the hill, the complete fourth series.
I must say I don't watch much animated comedies, however I do quite like the Simpson's and find family guy very funny.

In all honesty I have never actually watched an episode of this program before, however I got given this series for Christmas so what im going to do, is watch a few episodes, see what I think and then add more onto this review a bit later.
Ok so here I am again writing what I thought of the DVD after I watched it.
Now I don't want to completely slate the program just because I didn't enjoy it, maybe it is just my sense of humour, but I barely just managed to put myself through one episode of it.

The first episode starts off clear, it gives you an insight into what happened previously which was handy as I had never watched it before.
However to say its meant to be a comedy, I didn't actually laugh at it once, and I dint even smile at it once.
All the jokes seemed to be just unfunny, however it might be for younger people as the age is 12 where as family guy is a 15 and I quite like that.

However saying that, the Simpson's I do also enjoy and this is a pg, so I am unsure to what it is I hate about king of the hill.
The most annoying thing might be that everyone seems to talk the same, its quite an annoying American voice, and it sounds like the same guy has done all the voices for everyone, including the women.

One thing good about it is that the actual animation part is really good, it really is truly done by professionals and I do understand how long it must take to do, but I just really didn't enjoy it, so for that matter I don't really advise this to anyone, however if its ever on TV, watch it, see what you think and if you do like it then go out and buy the DVDs.
If not then you might be a bit disappointed and feel you've wasted your money.
