Douglas is quite odd and strange looking but he is the sort of character who finds that things go wrong around him and we all say 'ah, what a shame!'. He does get your sympathy! Most recently produced comedies just don't hit the right spot for me. I tend to searcg UKGold each night for the real oldies and I watch them over and over again. However 'Kiss Me Kate' proved to be the exception. Kate, played by Caroline Quentin, is a counsellor and the programmes are set in her office or at her house. We rarely, if ever, see anything else. This programme has recently returned for a new series on BBC1 and for anyone who watched the previous series and didn't enjoy it, I would urge you to give it another try. When I had seen the show before I hadn't thought it particularly funny and cannot remember actually watching a full episode, so when they started advertising its return I wasn't looking forward to it. As it happened there was nothing else on when the programme went out on a Saturday evening and so decided to give it a go, what a surprise it turned out to be. The cast is headed by Caroline Quentin as the Kate of the title. She works as a counsellor with Douglas (Chris ...  Read the complete review
