knight rider (2008)

Description: Return of the popular talking car show.

Newest Review: ... to rescue damsels in distress and prevent evil scientists from taking over the world with minimal dubious behaviour. Leap forward in time by three decades to the current version of Knight Rider featuring baby faced FBI agent Mike as KITTS human side kick and KITT himself as a black Cobra with the ability to transform its outer shell into almost anything from an amphibious vehicle to a flying ... more

Premium Review knight rider (2008): Dire remake of a fab 1980s tv show (422 words)

In the mid 1980s children throughout the world were in awe of Michael Knight, the man who doesn't exist and his amazing talking car K.I.T.T., the Knight Industries Two Thousand super car funded by Multimillionaire Wilton Knight and operated by his privately funded enterprise the Knight Foundation. The programme is overseen by Devon and his stunning side kick Dr. Bonnie Barstow is responsible for KITTs maintenance. Between them KITT and Michael do what no police officer can do and single handedly set out to rescue damsels in distress and prevent evil scientists from taking over the world with minimal dubious behaviour. Leap forward in time by three ...  Read the complete review

Here we have another 80's remake. Now the original show was l a hit in the 80's but does this come anywhere near it. Well in some ways it's better and in others it's poor. Now we have cental Knight Foundation headquarters that have loads of boffins working there unlike the original where you only saw around three people. KITT is still in the show at least. He has all the old features and a few new ones. One of the new features is that he can morph into other car shapes which at times look really cool but sometimes look like very poor effects. The first few stories seem to be the same but give it a chance as it does get better. Midway through the season we start to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review knight rider (2008): KITT as you've never seen him before (391 words)

I have to say that i was reluctant to watch the new episode of Knight Rider as i was a fan of the original Knight Rider in the 80's starring David Hasselholf. But i like to try anything once so i watched the pilot episode that was on for just over and hour and a half. Well what can i say, the story line for the pilot series sees the creator of KITT, Charles Graiman being hunted down by Mercenaries who are after a system that Graiman designed called Prometheus, which controls the entire U.S. defense network. But obviously it is encrypted and only himself and his daughter Sarah Graiman know the encryption key. KITT voiced by Val Kilmer who is now a Ford ...  Read the complete review

The car looks really great! ... Unfortunately there is not much more I can say in terms of how much I enjoyed watching this movie. ***The Story*** Not too bad. Nothing out of the ordinary really. The latest Die-Hard movie (which I reviewed here recently) was in it's 4th take, but still was able to introduce some element of uniqueness in that it get's you thinking. But the story line of Knight Rider (2008) did have quite bit of predictability about it, in the sense that when you watch it, it's not too hard to make a few guesses as to what is going to happen next. I will not put in too much detail here about the specifics of the ...  Read the complete review

How people think of David Hasselhoff depends on what generation they were born in....those of us old enough to remember the original series of KNIGHT RIDER remember him from that hit eighties show; those born in the nineties will forever think of him as Mitch Buchannon from BAYWATCH and those people of today's generation will probably remember him best as that creepy guy who sang "Get in my car" in that video where he leched over good-looking girls from a very quiet KITT. (Who was probably looking on in sheer disgust and silently dying from embarrassment wishing he was back on the production line!!) Thankfully, this latest new, supposedly improved ...  Read the complete review
