The talking car of the 80's! (Knight Rider)

My all time favourite program was Knightrider with (David Hasselhoff) one of the all time famous stars around who also stars in Bay Watch.

Who does not remember this program, I even remember the first episode where Michael Long turns into Michael Knight. The first show was shown late night after the news at 10 and my mum let me stay up to watch this program.

The whole interest in the series was the car K.I.T.T (Knight Industry Two Thousand). KITT was my all time dream of car that would be able to delivery all the power of computing into one car. He was able to leap over cars from a touch of a button and to smashing through brick wall without a even a scrap on the paintwork.

KITT was also able to communicate with on-line viewing to head office to the people who actually own him (Foundation for Law And Government F.L.A.G.).

At the flagship of the head Quarters of Foundation for Law And Government there was a man who ran the entire mission with Michael Knight a man called Devon Miles. Devon was Michael contact from the department and would keep in touch throughout his mission to see his progress. Devon also kept in touch with the entire business tycoon to get the job and find out research on certain individual.

Time to time KITT need to be kept maintain and also given upgrades to his abilities. This could not be done by returning to base all the time so that’s why there was a truck, which was kited to full to repair KITT at anytime during his mission.

The only person that repaired KITT was a lady called Bonnie who travel in the truck often and during the series was replace by April. These two where the only one that were allowed to work on KITT.

There were few episodes that I really liked one was where K.I.T.T. Vs K.A.R.R. Now K.A.R.R stand for (Knight Automated Roving Robot) and was the prototype for KITT. The main difference between the car was that one did not care about human life and the other d
id. They did make two episodes of this confrontation and both of them were really cool.

The other episode that I’d like was where they had to rebuild kit because he was total destroyed and Devon had a copy of him walking around and they suspected him to be a traitor. There was a guy called RC who was a street guy called the avenger and would help people out. So he hook up with bonnie to get a team together to repair KITT. But this time they made KITT to have a super pursuit mode that allows KITT to run 40 percent faster in a chase. Also they had a button to make KITT into a convertable car.

There was a movie made which had Devon and Michael reunion but was a sad story as Devon miles was killed and Michael avenged his death.

There are rumours that they’re going to be a new series of Knightrider so watch this space for an update.
There are currently rerun on Bravo so if your missing it go and watch it.
