Advantages: Cruel, Unforgiving, Big Shiny Sharp Things
Disadvantages: None
The bearded man strolls in and introduces himself, four youths sit in awe at the technological dream in which they are about to participate; one stands up, dons the helmet and walks into the dungeon (or room with blue screen things). The knightmare begins. Where am I? You're in a room with a table and a big swinging pendulum thing. Sorry adventurers your quest is over... But we've only been playing for twenty seconds. You ran out of food, without it the one in the helmet dies, HA HA HA HA... Yes but we're only 12, go on let us play a bit longer. No, you made it to level one, go away. Thus went almost every episode of Knightmare, except the ones where the clown in the helmet fell off cliffs, or annoyed the jester person. I think each series had different helmets. And admittedly it was years ahead of its time in computer graphics and stuff. But still it remained persistantly unfair to the kids, bless 'em, normal kids shows gave them prizes just for turning up, Knightmare just made them feel like utter failures and then showed them the door. And that's the sort of show I like.

- 17/09/01 Your opinion was amazingly funny and I agree! Only about 8 teams won and it was nice to see the different ways dungeoneers ended up 'dying', thus no prize. Mwa-ha-ha! |
