LA Law featured a group of lawyers at a firm who would have to work together in between their camaradery and squabbling and personal lives interrupting, all in the name of solving cases and being good lawyers! It made stars out of a number of its actors, including Jimmy Smits, Corbin Bernsen and Susan Dey, and many of the faces of the characters are prevalent in a number of TV shows and films today. When I was younger, my mum used to watch LA Law religiously. As I grew older, she became more inclined to let me sit with her and watch some as well, and I soon found out what the attraction was. As with many American shows from the 1980s and 1990s, it glossed over a lot of the truth to pave the way for entertainment to break in and steal the show. I used to watch L A Law a long time ago, where has it gone, it was brilliant, the char actors were totally different. They were always having fighting, have affairs and have very interesting court cases. It was an imaginative view of the legal trade, not realistic, but enjoyable. Why oh why do they always take good programmes of the television, and never bring them back.
