LA Ink is a tv reality show based in Los Angeles and centres around Kat Von D and her tattoo shop. Kat, featured in the Miami Ink series before getting booted out by the owner Ami. Kat moved back to LA and opened up the shop with some amazing tattooists onboard, creating some of the most amazing artistry you will see under one roof. The series is mainly based on Kat but a number of episodes focus on the staff at her shop and has become more of a soap opera. Here we have Miami Ink's spin off show, it's the same format, but some how much worse. So as mentioned same format as Miami Ink, 4 or 5 tattoos in the hour, showing a little on the story behind the tattoo, a little of the design and some of the tattooing. A story running through each show about one or all of the tattooists. This was devised when Kat walked, or got pushed from Miami Ink and while it sticks to the same format it's much worse watching it, it's almost embarrassing.
