Advantages: more tattooing is always good

Disadvantages: it's poor, level of work is often poor and the entertainment value isnt there

Here we have Miami Ink's spin off show, it's the same format, but some how much worse.

So as mentioned same format as Miami Ink, 4 or 5 tattoos in the hour, showing a little on the story behind the tattoo, a little of the design and some of the tattooing. A story running through each show about one or all of the tattooists.

This was devised when Kat walked, or got pushed from Miami Ink and while it sticks to the same format it's much worse watching it, it's almost embarrassing.

Kat has now turned into a Hollywood celeb and spends more time getting drunk and dating than tattooing. Others in the studio produce some really good work and then there's others who are put in there to be eye candy only.

In each show you will yet again get to see Kat do another portrait (which are decent enough but look at it when it's healed and see how little detail there is left), she will say "dude" a lot and every episode she will look and sound more like a junky than in the last.

The stories in between the tattoos seem to be a lot more contrived than in Miami Ink, while I could see Ami going into the gym for a work out with someone I couldn't picture Kat going mountain biking in real life.

The quality of work in this show is also a lot more up and down than in Miami and this detracts from the show, also Kat really isn't the right person to be a poster girl for tattooing.

If you want tattoo entertainment then watch Miami ink, as LA ink seems to be get old fast.

Summary: Only watch this if you have to
