This new series made by the BBC is just brilliant. I loved the film when it came out all those years ago, and when I saw this in the radio times I knew I had to watch it. The series shows a group of young women who volunteer to work on the land during WW2. Theres bitching, romance, suspision, heartbreak. Its full of gossip and the costumes are excellent. The hairstyles and makeup are also great and really make you think about what these women did during the war.
